Wintility Pro to offer users the Meeting Room - a searchable, offline/online threaded discussion forum for enhanced collaboration.

New York, NY - December 22, 2003 – PX Solutions announces the addition of another collaborative tool to Wintility Pro, it’s award winning knowledge management software package. The Meeting Room, an online and offline threaded discussion area, is planned for release in January. 

“We thought it was the perfect complement to the real-time conferencing tools already available within Wintility Pro,” said Ilan Goldman CEO. “The combination of both tools make it even easier for users to question, converse and negotiate within the context of one application.” 

Wintility Pro is designed specifically for small and mid-sized business, as well as for departments within larger organizations. It combines productivity and communications features such as WCards for retention of tacit information and procedures, e-mail and document capture and reference, instant messaging and knowledge/document management tools that enable users to share information within their network or securely make it available on their Intranet or Internet. 

While the market for formal collaboration tools is growing, many small and mid-sized businesses continue to use e-mail as their primary means of collaboration, analysts say. 

The Meeting Room’s threaded discussions operate in a similar manner to real-time conferencing with one major exception – in chat room conversations the user must be present to enter the discussion and respond to the comments of others. 

Participants in the Meeting Room’s threaded discussions may login at any time and add their comments, respond to others comments or start a new discussion. The user reads the comments of others and if interested can add a response regardless of when they were originally posted. This gives users time to ponder their questions and responses before responding as well as seek clarification if necessary. 

The Meeting Room discussion threads are fully searchable and saved as XML files. Users and moderators can attach relevant documents and send e-mails and instant messages to participants alerting them to any updates to the discussion. Each discussion will include a summary as well as an area to outline follow up actions and plans. 

The Meeting Room discussions can be public or private. The Meeting Room is included in the Wintility Pro package, so users don’t need to buy additional components.
